Hello Foamers. I know how to employ the function object that helps one to probe a particular location for velocity, pressure, etccc. Given that I am using LES, when I do probe for the velocity, I am given the instantaneous velocity, u. However, I would like to probe for the velocity fluctuation at a given point, that is u'.

Or am I thinking about this the wrong way, because I know probing a specific point within the turbulent boundary layer in an LES solver, I will definitely see the velocity fluctuating with time. So does that mean that the u vs t that I get from using probes will display the fluctuating velocity?

Best regards,
Deji
