Hi experts,
I have two questions in openFoam and really appreciate any helps: 1) I know that there is foamLog utility for residuals monitoring; is there any way to view residuals interactively in a graph while iterating automatically? 2) In FLUENT, there is a trick for initialization of complex geometries, i.e. multi grid tool, which can solve equations in bundle of grids in few minutes and obtains approximate solution that's work well as initial condition. Is there similar tools in openFoam? thanks in advance, Amir |

Hi Amir,
1) This thread should help you: http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...residuals.html 2) Have you tried potentialFoam? ("Simple potential flow solver which can be used to generate starting fields for full Navier-Stokes codes") Best Regards, Toni
