A problem about SMD (sauter mean diamter)

hi everyone,

I have use sprayFoam to simulate the liquid jet in crossflow in a gasturbine.

In oder to compare the results with the experiment, the sauter mean diameter is required.

So here I have a question about the SMD.

Is the parameter d of the parcels, that we can see in paraview, already the SMD?
When not, how can we calculate the SMD for every parcles?

I have read somewhere, that there are two kind of SMD: local SMD and overall SMD.

Could anyone explain the difference?

While running sprayFoam the D32 value which is shown @ each iteration is the SMD value at that instance. SMD is nothing but D32
