Solver for incompressible, heat transfer & DES

Hi,

can someone suggest me a solver in OpenFOAM suitable for Incompressible flow with heat transfer with DES. I don't seem to find a solver having to fit this combination exactly.

Thanks,

Camoesas

AND moving mesh capability(!)

Really no Solver available?

Own solver

Hi Camoesas

I believe there is no heat transfer solver in OpenFOAM with moving mesh capability. But you could use pimpleDyMFoam to start your own solver. All you have to do is add a new scalar transport. I saw a HowTo somewhere in the Web explaining the necessary steps for icoFoam. By the way, what is ment by DES in this context?

HI Fabian,

DES means Detached-Eddy Simulation: Farfield: LES and turbulence modelling near the walls. Its expected to be more accurate than RANS and faster than LES

Des

Hi Camoesas

thanks for the replay. As I am not so deep into turbulent flow this is new for me. As DES is possible in OF you could also include this to your new solver.

Fabian
