Hi,
I'm using solidDisplacementFoam to simulate steady-state stress analysis on a gear. For this I would like to set a force along a line as boundary condition. Is there any possibility to do this in solidDisplacementFoam?? Thanks for you help Riesotto |

SolidDisplacementFoam is based on finite volume stress analysis and as such it is only possible to apply boundary conditions to faces (not points or lines as in finite elements). So it would be possible along a line of faces if that would do. Philip |

Hi Philip,
thank you for your reply. I will think about it and simulate the force along a line of faces. riesotto |
