OpenFoam for HVAC Applications

Hi ,

I am new to OpenFOAM. Can anybody please help software is how much capabilities to do room air flow distribution, Co2 and H2o concentration calculation, temperature and veocity distributions inside room and HVAC applications.

you can develop your code to do all these things. it depends on yourself.
open-foam is a strong code for cfd purposes.

Download ICON hvacFOAM 1.7 (Audi Suppliers)
http://iconcfd.com/de/customer-support/hvacfoam never used it myself, just heard of it
=>but I believe it is not that easy to use that out of the box, but perhaps better than nothing.

OF is quite often used for Aircraft Cabin simulations http://www.openfoamworkshop.org/6th_...r_webel_ab.pdf just as an example

Are you professionally interested in HVAC => you might be interested to spend some money to some of the consulting companys (Engys or Icon ...) and get a working HVAC enviroment + solver + training etc.

I am not affiliated with any OF consulting company ;-).

thank you elvis.. i downloaded ICON hvacFOAM 1.7 from mentioned link above..Can u please give me the idea about how to install the software ..is there any link of this software with OpenFOAm..and if possible from where i will get documnetation or tutorials of this software..

Dear ATE,

sorry I can not help you very much, I just knew the existance of the HVAC solver from them.
First if all I want to say that hvacFOAM 1.7 was developed on OF 1.7, so to get it run, you should have a OF 1.7 installation. the OpenFoam team changed things heavilly during the versions from time to time and to make the nescessary changes to transfer solver from 1.7 to 2.x can be tricky!
