GmahToFoam
Hi all,
can anyone tell me detail procedure for converting .msh file to openFoam file. i have no idea how to convert msh file in to openFoam file. i have created .geo and .msh file but have no idea about how to convert and how to use that file. Thanks Jaydip |
It's easy:
1.) Move to your case directory. That's where constant, system, 0 subdirectories are located. 2.) Run command gmshToFoam <path_to_your_*.msh_file>. Or you can just copy msh file to your case directory and run gmshToFoam filename.msh. 3.) At the end you need to edit the constant/polymesh/boundary file, where you have to set you patch types (e.g. wall, empty, ...) and change defaultFaces face type to empty. Later I can post detailed description for an example case. |
