Hello Foamers.
I'm using OF 2.1.x. I noticed a very strange behavior in the total heat release rate (HRR) when running solver fireFoam and the case oppositeBurningPanels (with minor modifications to run faster), as shown below: number of layers ................HRR (J/s) of extruded panel ...............at t=5s ---------------------------------------------- 10 ....................................-13214 5 (case default) ...................-6641 3 .......................................-1173 2 ..........................................-29 1 .............................................0 If the cases are exactly the same, except for the number of layers of the extruded panel, shouldn't I expect the same HRR? Is there a bug or am I missing something? The panel depth is 0.01m in all cases. Thanks, Paulo |
