I do realize this is the very basic and a lot of people have posted stuff on this but I am unable to get it. I have a 3-D steady state simulation in Fluent and would like to get pressure and mass flow contours using Paraview.
I first tried to read the fluent case file which only displays the surface and the contour button is inactive. My second attempt was to use the .CGNS file which I used in techplot but that didnt work. I then exported the file as ensight case gold and renamed the extension as .case but even that didnt work. could someone please help me out. It should be a pretty easy thing but I am unable to get it. Thank you very much. |

Check the other posts on this subject, you have to use the "cell data to point data" filter for the contours to show up.

That's good. Do you happen to know how to read in transient Fluent data? That's the problem I'm having now. I think it's a file naming problem; I can read in one timestep but it doesn't like reading multiple data files.
