I'm very new to ParaView and am using it for output from Elmer FEA. I'm loading a file case001.vtu and do see the mesh structure along with a 'temperature' data label. However the data range is [0 322] which is incorrect. In other post processors the true range is [322.0 349.79].

Any thoughts as to what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks,
Brian

Greetings Brian and welcome to the forum!

There might be an export problem in Elmer, where the ".vtu" file wasn't properly created.

You can try and use the menu "File -> Save Data" to export to CSV and then inspect in Calc/Excel where exactly ParaView is seeing the 0 values.

It could also be a problem related to surface vs volume mesh. In other words, in the other post-processors you might be seeing the volume mesh, but on ParaView you're seeing the surface mesh. That would explain why you have 0 values in ParaView.

Best regards,
Bruno
