circuitBurn is on a distinguished road
I've been following the few examples I've come across online to try to help set up a ParaViewWeb system.

The included examples are fine but don't (at least I couldn't see it) tell you how to connect to a pvserver instance. The JavaScript Introduction provides a serverUrl as this:
Code:
var serverUrl = "http://localhost:8080/PWService";
but I can't glean what I'm required to use as a URL or how that even connects to my pvserver process.

My page is currently being served by Django's test server and the pvserver instance is running on the same machine.

tldr; Can't figure out how to connect to pvserver using ParaViewWeb.js

Greetings circuitBurn,

According to these instructions: http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaViewWeb - I don't think you're meant to connect to a pvserver instance.

In theory, perhaps you can hack the files at "lib\paraview-4.0\site-packages\paraview" to connect to the pvserver port, instead of creating a "builtin" server...
Although, the instructions seem to be provided here, without any need for hacks: http://www.paraview.org/Wiki/ParaViewWeb_Server_setting

Best regards,
Bruno
