Iso_Concentration Contours
1 Attachment(s)
Greetings All
I know how to put Iso-Concentration contours of for-instance temperature (T=400), on another variable slice. However, My question is: 1- How to put the value of contour (Here 400) on its line as a label? 2- Can we change this solid line to broken (dashed lines)? Any hint is appreciated. I have uploaded a desired pic. I want to have my iso-concentration contours like the attached pic except as a dashed line instead of solid line with the values attached to lines as labels. Hello Bobi,
i think the lines are not a problem to deal with (contour filter). To the annotiation I found the following hint: http://www.mail-archive.com/paraview.../msg00503.html Seems that its possible to do exactly what you want. But I can not find the field to show the annotiation. Maybe you can figure it out. Otherwise you had to place it by yourself (Source -> Text) Regards Tobi |

Many Thanks from your link. I found that the Selection Inspector should be activated from the VIEW menu. However, as I learned and tried, it only works on 3D sections. If user wants to have labels on a 2D contour plotted over a 2D slice of another variable, It seems that the only option is text putted manually. Regards Bobi |

Hello bobi,
thanks for your hint. Its although possible for 2D slices but I did not figure it out just to show one number. See the attached picture. |
Greeting Tobi
It seems that you were successful with 2D slices, But from on-line tutorial and my own tries, the action was inactive for 2D slices.:( I did my labeling from source->text that was so much easier (Unlike the answer in the link) than the selection inspector gadget.:D:):D Thanks again from your help. Greetings to all!
Took me a while to figure out what on Earth you guys were talking about :) A nice detailed description of all steps to reproduce the issues would have come in handy... Anyway, attached are the images that tell the story how this can be done:
