Calculate mass flow rate over a surface

Hi everybody,

I am looking for assistance to compute the mass flow rate over a surface (inlet and outlet).

That's would be great if you have some ideas to share.

Thank you.

Dear vut

Use integral variables under Filters > Data Analysis.

I attached an example. In this image, I selected the curved surface and calculated the total T on the surface by integral variables function.

T = 117.779 is the total amount of variable T, which I thought temperature in this tutorial.

It you want mass flow rate passing through the surface.
Multiply the sum of U (velocity magnitude or components) and rho (density) on the surface of interest gives the mass flow rate.

Dear Yosuke,

I have done the same thing as your reply.

Thank you anyway for the detail your posted.

Have a nice day!
