Spanwise Lift Distribution

Recently, I have had to swap my postprocessor from EnSight to Paraview. There is a very powerful feature in EnSight that allows you to "sweep" a plane in a direction, integrating a certain variable as you move along the sweep. For example you can integrate the lifting component at a 2D slice of a wing surface, and then by sweeping the plane along the span, you can plot the spanwise lift distribution.

This feature is showcased from about the 10 minute mark in this video: http://video.ceisoftware.com/media/aeroanalysis

I am hoping someone knows how this can be replicated in ParaView. So far I have been able to extract a block (surface) > Create a slice of the block, then Integrate a variable around this line. This gives me the lift force at this particular station, but now I need to know how I can extend this to get the spanwise lift distribution curve.

Thanks for helping me out, I think this feature will be useful for many people.

Hi Sam,

Did you solve your problem? I'm trying to get the spanwise distribution on paraView after running openFoam too.
