Trouble opening parafoam

1 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone,

I have installed OpenFoam-2.3.0 on my fedora system. The solvers and utilities have been installed successfully but parafoam did not.

For the time being I have installed Paraview separately and type Paraview each time to post-process after the OpanFOAM solvers calculate the solution.

Whenever I try to type paraFoam in the solution folder i.e the folder from which the solution is being calculated, I get the following set of errors. The picture of the errors is attached.

I will be grateful if someone can tell me how to fix this problem or should I install the entire program again.

Anticipating a positive response,

Hi,

If you would like to use system-wide installed paraview and its own OpenFOAM reader, invoke paraFoam with -builtin flag

Code:

$ paraFoam -builtin
command.

Paraview runtime error

Hello Everyone,

I receive the following error when I try to open paraview after the creation of mesh, and setting up the boundary and initial conditions. I save a dummy file by the name foam.foam which I open using the terminal command,

paraview foam.foam &

I then see the following error,

[aditya@localhost backward_basecase]$ ICE default IO error handler doing an exit(), pid = 10470, errno = 11

It was working perfectly all these days but suddenly it stopped working!! Can someone please tell me why this is happening and what is the fix for that?

Thanks!!
