Hello guys,
I'm running some simulations in openFoam on my university cluster but for some reasons I'm not able to use paraview on these servers to start post-processing.
Since paraview is available also for Windows I was wondering in which way I could open the OF case in Paraview on my laptop. Are out there on internet some tutorials to do that or someone already asked about this question?

Thank you in advance, I'll really appreciate some suggestions because right now I'm blocked with my work.

Hello,

There is an easy way to use ParaView on Windows by using the native OpenFOAM reader. You need to to the following:
1. Create <caseName>.foam file in a case directory using touch in an MSys shell or create an empty file in Windows Explorer. I quite like using Msys2 http://sourceforge.net/projects/msys2 on Windows as it given me almost the same feel as working in Linux, and I can still use the nice features of Windows such as Office, Outlook, etc..
2. Start ParaView and open the .foam file, and you can load the case. You can also choose whether you want to load the reconstructed or a decomposed case.

I hope this helps you move forward with your work.
