To anyone who's reading,
I am a total beginner in CFD and it is my first time using SSH and OpenFOAM. I work on 64-bit Windows OS and I access OpenFOAM via the Cygwin terminal. I tried to do the first tutorial but when I type paraFoam in the terminal what happens is that ParaView starts opening but then it freezes and the content in the newly opened windows doesn't show and in the terminal I receive the following error messages: X Error: BadValue (integer parameter out of range for operation) 2 Extension: 149 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 3 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x0 X Error: GLXBadContext 151 Extension: 149 (Uknown extension) Minor opcode: 5 (Unknown request) Resource id: 0x10002bc I tried looking around the internet for solution but since I'm still learning how to use SSH almost everything seems like Chinese to me. I also tried searching in this forum, but probably because I don't understand anything I wasn't able to recognize whether somebody has had similar problem. If it is of any relevance, when I type paraFoam --version it returns paraview 3.12.0. I think that OpenFOAM itself is properly installed. I don't know what they did exactly (they did it too fast and I knew too little to understand) but I think they just copied the OpenFOAM tutorial files like they did for everybod else, but I'm the only one that encounters this problem. I don't know if that's enough information, but I'd be extremely grateful if someone helps me! |
