[N00B_Q] Need Help with Ploting Water Height Over Time

I'm modelling a 2D channel with wall in it, using IHFoam to produce waves and solve it with IHFoam. The wall has holes in it so some part of the waves are passing thru some of it reflecting back.

I'm trying to measure the water height in front of the wall (5cm away on the approach side) and plot a water height over time graph. Tried to use surface condition (alpha1=0.5) but at some time step air pockets occur and water level readings became wrong. How can i make it choose the highest alpha1=0.5 to make it right?

Steps that i use:
1- Contour alpha1 = 0.5
2- Calculate
  • Attribute mode: point data
  • Result Array Name: H
  • Expression: coordsZ (Z is my vertical axis)
3- Slice (X and Y = exact point that a want to measure, Z = still water level)
4- Viewing the slice as a spread sheet then i choose point0 to plot the water level.

Most of the time it reads 3 different points with same water level but some times it reads more than that but it keeps reading the point0 even if it is not the highest point. check the screen shots

I'm a newbie so please be as clear as possible when answering :)

Thank you!
