glyph always has arrows pointing to the x direction

1 Attachment(s)
Hi,

I am trying to see the flow direction in the model below. When I use glyph arrows to show the flow direction, I always have arrows pointing to the x direction, no matter what solver or parameters I used.

Could anyone help me out? Thank you!

With a bit more information about WHAT you are trying to simulate it would be easier to determine what the problem really is. What makes you so sure that velocity vectors with a dominant x-component are actually wrong?

Quick note: When not using the scaling option in the Glyphs filter, ParaView/VTK will use by default the vector "1,0,0" for representing the vectors "0,0,0".
In other words, it's also probable that the magnitude of the represented vectors is actually 0.0.

*sigh*
Don't you just hate when this happens

glyph arrows in x-direction

I recently installed openfoam 4.1, and just ran the standard elbow tutorial case. Solution and log files look OK. Unexpectedly when testing glyphs with ParaView 5.0.1, all glyph arrows only point in x-direction, whatever I try with the settings.

Any hints would be welcome
