Paraview 4.4.0 - Problem generating velocity contours

In the past versions of Paraview, the velocity variable (U) could be dealt as an scalar (for example, using the velocity magnitude), so it was possible to generate contours. I'm trying the 4.4 version with the OpenFOAM 3.0, and this seems to be no longer possible. As I visualize my case, the variable 'p' (pressure) appears as the only option for generating the contours.
Would anyone know how to get around this problem? Cheers |

Hi Davi,
You can create a new scalar array from the vector with Calculator (e.g. ResultArrayName='U_mag', Function='mag(U)') and then use it with contours. Regards, Mikko |

Thanks, that worked. Although it is annoying that you can't just use U_x, U_y, U_z and U_mag as before.
