Hi,
I am using Paraview 4.2. The datasets i have are in binary VTK format. I need to draw vector plots and streamlines in 3D. Each velocity component (U,V,W) is in a separate file. The headers of say U velocity file are as follows: # vtk DataFile Version 6.0 Non-uniform Rectilinear - Rectilinear Grid BINARY DATASET RECTILINEAR_GRID DIMENSIONS 354 354 506 X_COORDINATES 354 double <binary data> Y_COORDINATES 354 double <binary data> Z_COORDINATES 506 double <binary data> POINT_DATA 63409896 SCALARS U double LOOKUP_TABLE default <binary data> Now i load each U, V, W file and merge them using Append Attributes filter. Then i use Calculator filter like : U*iHat + V*jHat + W*kHat Finally i use wither Glyph or Stream Tracer filter. But i am not seeing the flow as it should be. Can someone tell me if i am doing things correctly? Thanks. |

Hi,
I can't find anything wrong what you are doing. Can you share your data so I could try to find a solution? Regards, Mikko |
