Hi I'm using both Paraview v 4.0.1 and Paraview v.5.0.0.
I need to open a Ansys Fluent cfd simulation, saved in .cas and .dat files. However if I try to open it with both the versions of Paraview nothing happen. Also if I export a CGNS from Fluent, the file is not read. Can anyone help me? Thanks, in advance, WhiteW |

Hi,
You can export Fluent results in Tecplot and in EnSight format. If you export in EnSight format, 4 files are created. One of them has ".encas" extention. You have to manually change it to ".case" in order for ParaView to recognize it. Also, keep the filenames simple, without spaces and special characters. Barak. |

Just to say, there are con cgnstofoam converter that may be helpful into opening cgns in paraview (since paraview opens foam mesh files)
