Hi all,

when you rotate/translate the view of a geometry in paraview a sort of preview is shown till the mouse button is released. This preview triangulate the geometry in a coarse way and contours are projected on them.

Now, I would like to reproduce this effect but being able to control the triangles size. Is there a filter or another way to do what this preview does?

Thanks in advance,
philus

Ok, I somehow discovered that the filter "decimate" almost do what I need.

But before I can apply it I have first to apply Extract Surface, then Triangulate and at the end Decimate. But still I am not able to obtain the same thing that I have when I rotate the view.

Can someone give me any suggestion on how to use this filter in order to exactly obtain what I see when I move the geometry?

Thanks in advance,
philus
