Dear Foamers,

I try to find iso surface area in ParaFoam using Integrate variable option after creating an iso contour.
The result is confusing: the result shows Cell type as vertex and a different value for scalar.
alpha.water=0.0006 where as my isosurface was for alpha.water=0.5
how can I find the iso-surface area? any help please
I'm attaching the acreenshot-this is from dam break tutorial

Hi phani45,

Not sure if i understand you correct, but when computing the area of the contour you should use the Cell Data as Attribute. In this case is the area of the iso contour 0.0134102 m2. Its not clear how you have defined this "alpha.water" cell data in your simulation results and maybe you can provide more info to help understanding your issue, but the "alpha.water" column should then be representing the integrated variable of this data.

Cheers
