Greetings meryem,

My apologies, but I only managed to take a look into your question today. You sent me a private message on the 27th of July, in which the following information you provided in it has more details on what happened:

Quote:
when i try to view the mesh from cavity case by using parafoam i have error paraview.exe not find .so i create manually a file.foam then i go to paraview i try to open the file but it send an output message :
Code:
 ERROR: In ..\..\..\src\VTK\IO\vtkOpenFOAMReader.cxx, line 4582
vtkOpenFOAMReaderPrivate (05595570): Error opening C:/Program Files/blueCFD-SingleCore-2.1/ofuser-2.1/run/tutorials/incompressible/icoFoam/cavity/constant/polyMesh/faces.gz: Can't open. If you are trying to read a parallel decomposed case, set Case Type to Decomposed Case.

I don't know if you have solved the problem in the meantime, but it seems that this is either one of the following possible problems:
  1. Perhaps blockMesh didn't run correctly? This would explain why there is no mesh to be viewed.
  2. Of perhaps it is because the "compressible" option is turned on in the file "system/controlDict":
    Code:
    writeCompression on;
    Try changing it to:
    Code:
    writeCompression off;
    and try running blockMesh once again.
Best regards,
Bruno
