How to post-process the Lagrangian particles

1 Attachment(s)
Dear all,

I used OPENFOAM to simulate multiphase flows, and the Lagrangian particles can only be post-processed by paraFoam. But I donot know who to adjust the coordinates of the figures, please see the attachment. I have two questions to ask:

1. How to change the coordinates to be nondimensional ones, for example, make the coordinates times 1000.

2. How to display the coordinates only in one side of the figures?

I'm really confused by these questions, any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Maria

Hi Maria,

when you activate Axis Grid, click the button Edit by its side. Then in the pop up window click the button with a gear on the to right (I am using ParaView 5.3.0).

1 - Change in Data Transform
2 - Change in Axes To Label

Best,

Pablo

Dear Pablo,

Many thanks for your reply, I've found these two functions, do you know how to display the coordinate ticks only inside the axis, and show integral data?

Thanks again,

Maria

Acturally, I want the figure to display as the new attachment, but I cannot find the way the display the coordinate axis in the right place. Also I donnot know how to show the ticks only inside the axis.

who do you get your particles to show in paraview? I have results from a kinematicParcleFoam simulation, but i cant figure out how to visualize the particles.

Sorry for going a bit off-topic here :o

In paraView, you should choose "kinematicCloud-lagrangian" instead of internalMesh in the Mesh Parts.

Hello

I have a question,

Is it possible to visualize only stick particles on a specific wall in paraview?

The idea is to see just stick particles but paraview shows all the particles in fluid domain.

Thanks

Hi,

you could always apply the clip filter to your particles using a plane located at radius + a small delta away from your wall (assuming your wall is plane).

Best,

Pablo
