Hi
I have done my simulation using Fluent. I want to implement Lambda2 method in paraview. Does this work in paraview: eigenvalue(strain(Velocity)**2 + (Gradients - strain(Velocity)**)2) In my case gradient of unstructured data set filter is taking very long time to compute Or is there any easier alternative to visualize vortices. Thanks in advance |

You could use the Q-criterion instead of Lambda2. This is already implemented in the unstructured gradient dataset (click on the gear for more options). Keep in mind, for Q-criterion the isovalue should be positive by definition.
