Ishmael is on a distinguished road
Hello everyone,

I've just started working with OpenFoam. My 1st simulation was a 2D flow around a (porous) cylinder at very low Reynolds Numbers (<100).

In this case, internal patches are not possible, so I can't simply use forceCoeffs for the Drag Force Fd on the cylinder I look for.

So, my idea was to use Paraview by extracting the relevant cell region and calculating the surface forces in the following order:

1. ExctractCellsByRegion (Sphere)
2. ExtractSurface
3. GenerateSurfaceNormals
4. Calculator (p*Normals_X)
5. IntegrateVariables

But the resulting data is weird and completely false. My guess is that I use the false formula for the Calculator. I would be grateful if someone could help me!

Best regards

Ishmael
