Cannot visualize object in Render View

Greetings, newbie here.

I have searched quite a bit but I haven't found this issue. Simplified issue to test:

Exercise 2.1 from this tutorial . (image1)

One should visualize the cylinder in Render View. I cannot. (Image2)
