Hey guys,

the more I read about this topic, the more confused I am. I have a transient simulation and want to get the temperature at specific positions.

Now I am confused whether to just use point or cell values or if I have to apply some kind of filter. The options just seem endless

As far as I understand, OpenFoam uses Finite Volume Method, which calculates the values at the cell centre. So I thougth I would just select the cells on the grid and then apply the filter plotSelectionOverTime.

Can anyone confirm ist this is the right way?
