electron2157 is on a distinguished road
Hi,

I'm a bit stuck on calculation and display of skin friction coefficient ( and shear stress ) over my blade surface on paraview. I'm in the case of a rotor rotating around my Y axis. I'm using a specific solver which is not giving me directly any of them, but instead gives me gradients of velocity / velocity in each needed direction.

Using this formula : Cf = tau / ( 0.5 * Rho_inf * U_inf **2 ) and tau = Mu * du/dy

As i'm in a rotating motion with no inflow ( hovering condition ), i supposed that U_inf = w*r.

Also, I'm not sure if i need to take only du/dy for tau calculation or also each other component of my velocity gradient in the normal direction ( dv/dy and dw/dy ) ...

Any insight on how i can deal with this problem ?
