Hello,

Your paraview OpenFoam reader is missing somehow.

Verify your installation, or recompile the reader.

Check out this thread.

Hello martin,

Thanks for your suggestion.

By the way, i have not compiled OpenFOAM 1.4.1 but i'm using pre compiled binary version provided by opencfd. and i'm using paraview & gcc versions they have compiled & suggested in the website.

My FoamX is working well. the problem comes when i execute paraFoam. and i can find paraFoam.pvs file in the directory.

(((Basically, the problem you are seeing comes from the fact that your paraview Foam reader was not compiled correctly, so your file paraFoam.pvs is never generated, so your paraFoam script cannot execute properly.)))

that was your comment in the older post.

so the PVFoamReader is not compiled correctly in the 1.4.1 release.?

Thanks again.

Hello Navaldi,

Nope, if you are using a precompiled version of OpenFOAM 1.4.1, you should be fine.

Check out the installation instructions then.

Yes. Your system gcc is being picked instead of the one supplied with OpenFOAM. But I don't see why that should conflict with paraview unless you rebuilt OpenFOAM from source. Exactly what changes did you make to any of the OpenFOAM bashrc/cshrc files?

Hi Srinath,

I'm very sorry, please look at the log again.
so everything looks fine. i solved the critical errors by changing the path. yeah, as you told the paraFoam problem not solved. still there.

Of course gcc noway related to paraFoam since i have not compiled anything.

I'm still confused why paraFoam doesn't work. Do you have any idea?
