Cannot find file points in directory constantpolyMesh
 

Dear frieds:
I tried to learn the first tutorial cavity, but after i started the paraview, and after i click the "accept', the paraview dispear. and it gives me the following error. so what should i do/

fidap run #paraFoam icoFoam/cavity

--> FOAM FATAL ERROR : Cannot find file "points" in directory "constant/polyMesh"

From function Time::findInstance(const word& dir, const word& name)
in file db/Time/findInstance.C at line 133.

FOAM exiting

did you check by yourself if there is the points file in constant/polymesh ?

if not, are you sure you created your mesh correctly (blockMesh command) ?

note that if you follow the userguide step by step, it should work correctly.

you first need to set up the mesh using blockMesh; e.g.:
blockMesh <root> <case>
There should also a possibility doig this directly in FoamX.
