Probe in the Filter menu is greyed out

I tried to make a XY plotfollwing the totorial. However, the "Probe" option in the "Filter" menu is greyed out. And I can't pick it. I'm running paraview 2.4.2. downloaded along with OpenFOAM 1.3.
