Question about visualizing XYPlot

If I use "Filter->Probe" in ParaView, then choose "Point" in "Probe Object", I can only see for example a point showing up in the plot(temperature as y axis, time as x axis). But how can I see the temperature curve of this point within a time interval, say 0~0.001s? Thanks!

Hi Dihao.
Plots of values over time are not possible in the 2.4.2-version of version of paraview I believe. The cvs-version has temporal plots, so it is soon to come. Your best bet is probably to either create probes in OpenFOAM, or to use vtkProbes on your converted dataset (if you are familiar with VTK).

Thank you Rasmus.
Unfortunately, I'm not familiar with VTK at all. I'm wondering how to create probes in OpenFoam, sorry I'm not familiar with this functionality either. Could you please give me further tips? Thank you!

I have not used it myself, but there is a sample-utility in OF for probing a data field. Take a look in the User Guide on "Sampling data for plotting graphs".
