Particle Tracking in ParaView for Non-Lagrangian Solvers

I am using reactingFoam to simulate a reaction in spherical geometry, and I wanted to know if it was possible to do any particle tracking animation with ParaView for my solution. After searching for a while on the web, most of what I have found is about Lagrangian solvers, which actually have particles to track, but I am not using a Lagrangian solver and I just want ParaView to show me the path of some sample particles through the system. ParaView can easily show me flow lines with the Stream Tracer filter, and so I don't think it would be difficult for it to just display the motion of some particles through the system, but I don't know how to get it to show that.

I have tried using the ParticleTracer and Particle Pathlines filters, but I don't know how to set the options to get anything, and it always ends up displaying nothing.

Does anyone know a good way to do this?

Hi CyberHolmes,
Did you ever managed to get paraview to do the particle tracking? I am wanting to do the same thing for my solution.
Greatly appreciated if you could share what you did or give me any leads.
Cheers,
Josué MG
