Hi niharika,
If the heat flux is at a PLATE boundary with a surface temperature, then the heat flux will be printed in the RESULT file in the 'Sources and sinks' section as the Nett source of TEM1 for that object. For a BLOCKAGE object, the nett TEM1 source will be for the entire object, not individual faces. You can also STORE(QDX,QDY,QDZ) (either directly in Q1 or from Menu, Models, Solution control / Extra variables, STORE). At the end of the run, these will be filled with the X-, Y- and Z-directed heat fluxes. With a little InForm you can add these up over any area. That is the best answer I can give you unfortunately without knowing more about your case. If that doesn't help, could you perhaps be more specific and we will try our best to help. Thanks |

Thank you so much for the reply. I have a blockage which is a heat source in between the domain fluid. so it has two boundaries with the domain fluid. I want to know the wall heat flux for the two boundaries. Can it be done? I will try to store the variables you suggested and thank you very much.

Hi again,
Storing those variables should give you the information you need. If that doesn't work please let me know and I will try to help. Thanks, |
