while solving an unsteady heat transfer problem, the problem i am facing is that the temperature variation obtained after running earth is grid dimension dependent. The temp range is varying with the no of grid cells in the direction of heat transfer. what could be the cause of this discrepancy?

The more cells you use, the more accurate the results will be! You need to refine the grid until you get no significant change in the solution.
