Dear Guan Jian

Unless you know very well what you are doing, I will not recommend you to do this.

Yes, it is right. If you set this variable to F, then the "earth" will not execute some subroutines included into PHOENICS specific files (GX---- family) and it will save execution time, but it can let your executable useless.

I will recommend you some other practices to save execution time. For example:

(a) Have you used compiler options to optimize the code according your machine (processor architecture) or to optimize cicles?

(b) Avoid to call the function L0F inside cicles or more than one time (per variable) inside ground, specially if you use a large amount of nodes.

Next time you participate in PHOENICS seminars or courses ask the professor about GX---- subs. There are some of then which can be excluded depending your interest.

Regards

Kike
