Hello all. I'm a student and i'm researching on CFD software for my thesis which is the project of a subway station. I'm interested in studying the safety of my station in case of fire and the quality of air in the underground rooms. I have known today about the existence of phoenics,do you think is the right software for me? Is the level 1 of shareware version useful or is it just a demonstration? Is there anyone interested in share with me the cost of an higer level? This is mi e-mail postadifabio@hotmail.com Bye and thank you for answers. Fabio.

Re: Is phoenics the software i need?

Fabio,

PHOENICS is used a lot for this type of application. Some simple examples can be found on CHAM's web site:

http://www.cham.co.uk/phoenics/d_pol...lic/applic.htm

such as:

http://www.cham.co.uk/phoenics/d_pol...ic/libc104.htm

Industrial examples can be obtained from CHAM.

You might be OK with Shareware, but you should know that universities can get the latest version of PHOENICS at preferential rates in any case. Contact me at CHAM, to find out more.
