Help on porosity

I am trying to model a perforated plasterboard ceiling. I know that the perforations make up 50% of the area of the plasterboard.

Can I use a 'plate' in phoenics and set the perosity=0.5 . The exact flow through the perforations is not important but the flow through the perforated panel is.

I am on the right track ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help on porosity

You can use a standard blockage and make the material the domain material. You will then be able to change quite a few aspects of the blockage, including porosity.
