I wonder if it is possible to restart (restrt(all)) a case from a simulation that was made on 4 processors and to simulate it on 6 processors (for example). Because a phi file is generated by each sub-domain I cannot restar the case with different number of subdomains. Another question is: is it possible from a complete PHI file, to generate "sub-phi files" for new sub-domains in a new run??? It would be great!!

Thanks and Merry Christmas!!!

The current code situation is that neither of the above are possible.

Thanks!

Dear Mick,

I know that it is impossible with the current code situation, but it would be very easy for CHAM to build a file or script that does this. I'm thinking seriously to do it, but I need to study very carefully the phi files (the structure) and I'd need to spend some time on it. CHAM knows the phi structure, it'll be very easy to create maybe a separated ".f file", for instance, or the same that uses to dump the phi files.

Thanks again.
