I am wanting to look at the shedding of vortices from bluff bodies.
I cannot establish the periodic shedding that others get. I get a symmetric flow. Naturally I am running a transient case I am not pertubating the solution. Anyone got a case that runs that will demonstrate this vortex shedding phenomenon? |

I have a case and there are some online in the docs. It turns out numerical instability is enough to perturb the flow for you. I'm not really sure, beyond the Strouhal number correlation, how accurate the model is.

Can supply files for vortex flow around a square cyclinder which match expt if this is any use?
