Migal with Chemkin
As a result of some problems I had with 3.6, I tried rerunning my CHEMKIN combustion models in 3.4 but with migal turned on for the hydrodynamic terms. It slows down calculations by about a factor of three, but the velocities and pressures converge faster by about a factor of 10 20. The net result is a more completely converged solution at the end of a run because the CHEMKIN pointbypoint solver causes the chemical source terms to dominate the flow variables, but MIGAL ameliorates this by dramatically increasing the efficiency of the flowterm convergence. The result is that very few sweeps of the SIMPLEST solver are required to completely converge the solution.
