Dear Dr Mike

Hi,

I want to introduce an internal source term (q) in the mass balance equation for generating a water wave.

d(rho)/dt + div(rho*V) = q (1)

I think that the Plant command is:

PLANTBEGIN

**Instruction for q calculation (not given)

PATCH (SP1,PHASEM,IX1,IX2,1,NY,1,NZ,1,LSTEP)

<SORC01> VAL=q

COVAL (SP1,P1 , FIXFLU , GRND )

PLANTEND

Could some one confirm me that this Plant command is right to introduce a source term in equation (1)?

Thanks.

Re: Dear Dr Mike

I am not familiar with PLANT because I tend to code the FORTRAN coding directly in GROUND, or to use INFORM. On the face of it, what you have written seems OK. Presumably IX1 and IX2 are defined in the Q1 file.

Dear Dr Mike,

Which expression do you want to use in Inform case.

Regards.
