Problem Creating Models by joining Quilts..

Hi , I am trying to mesh a geometry imported in Gridgen in .igs format. and i m facing a lot of difficulties.
1. there are multiple edges appeared in geometry against each edge.
2. i followed the tutorial of meshing of DLR-F6 and did it up to quilts. and after that couldn't make solid models.

kindly suggest me what to do..? i m stuck here.. :(

with best regards

Hi Sulman,

I would suggest to work with layers and simply turn on the layer that contains the surfaces. You might get rid of this problem and also see the tutorial in Gridgen related to Layer Manager.

hope this helps

After importing your geometry the first thing to do is to try to form it into a single model (assuming that's all you have). By doing so you'll get rid of the gaps. Then you can optionally assemble quilts so you have a meshing topology that's simpler than the CAD topology.

Thx Taxalian for your kind reply.. But i was already following that tutorial and working with layers.
Also thx jchawner, I m wrokingout with you suggestion and will let you know..
