Can Pointwise generate a .k format file?

If not...
What software can do it besides those of fluent?
Thanks!

What files have a .k extension? I am pretty familiar with Fluent and I don't recall a format it supports with that extension. Can you give us more information.

Sorry, Its not fluent, its of ANSYS LS-DYNA.
I am working in a group in my university and for our in-house code they used this format for the meshing.

I am not aware of that format. I am pretty sure Pointwise does not export it.

Do you have access to the .k file format specs?

If yes, then it should be very straight forward to implement a ANSYS LS-DYNA exporter using the Pointwise CAE Plugin SDK.

If you decide to go this route, I can help. I have written a few plugins.

And, if you are willing to share the code, it can be added to the Pointwise distribution.

Of course you could always try using a NASTRAN export from Pointwise. Will ANSYS LS-DYNA import NASTRAN files?
