Hi, how to generate block or volume mesh when we have multiple surfaces as shown in the image (Circle region inside a square, how to select surfaces). Please suggest me how to resolve this issue.

sanjay,

I'm a little unclear as to the region you're trying to mesh. Are you trying to mesh the cylindrical looking region? Or are you trying to mesh the rectangular region with a hole in it?

If possible, post a picture of a schematic better identifying what you're trying to mesh.

It's a cube on one face of the cube there is a circular surface (its a moving diaphragm). While generating cube i am unable to select the face containing the circle as there are two regions on one face (circle and the outer square surrounding it).

Are you trying to create an unstructured or structured block? If you're trying to create an unstructured block, I can't think of a reason why you wouldn't be able to select the two domains representing that side. If you are trying to to create a structured block (or inadvertently left the Structured Mesh type icon selected on the toolbar), it won't allow the selection of unstructured domains.

Please use assemble special block for creating unstructured or structured block when you have multiple surface.
