3D T-rex: Problem Initializing Block
I'm currently trying to model flow over an iced airfoil. However, every time I try to T-rex my block, it goes through however iterations I specify for "Max layers" and then gives the error "could not import tets." Any idea what Might be going wrong? Details on my mesh are below.
I'm modeling a NACA0012 with a horn ice shape in a wind tunnel. I'm using two baffle surfaces behind the ice shape to increase resolution in the separation bubble region. These baffle faces are set to "off" boundary conditions. I also have T-rexed both the inlet and outlet surfaces in 2D prior to assembling the block. Below is a picture of the airfoil. https://app.box.com/s/23jaxhwsldypigzf34yq |
Hello Cameron,
It's a little hard to tell what the geometry looks like. Please post a picture zoomed to the leading edge. Thank you. Travis |
Hey Travis,
Here's a zoom in of the leading edge. I'd also like to add that the grid will T-rex fine without the baffles. Thanks for your time. https://app.box.com/s/0ds1ghzjkr20og08csuw |
Try moving the baffles farther downstream. I've found that if they intersect the front as it's extruding causing the layers to stop before reaching isotropy, the iso tri mesher can have problems.
