Dear All,
Using pointwise, I have created hyperbolic O-grid topology 2d mesh for airfoil, now for boundry condition, what I am doing, is to split the outer circle into two semi curves (for velocity inlet and pressure outlet) Is this right approach?? or there is other way around? kindly help my solver is ansys fluent Thanks |

That depends on the type of gas model you are using. If you are assuming a compressible flow (ideal gas), Fluent has a characteristic boundary condition call "farfield" where you set the freestream conditions. This boundary condition type would allow you to use the whole circle.
However, this boundary condition can not be used for incompressible flow (constant density). Therefore, the approach you are using would be appropriate. |

There's a "freestream" and "freestreamPressure" type you can use with OpenFOAM. You'll just need to specify a "freestreamValue" and you're good to go.

I used farfield as velocity inlet, airfoil as wall.. which boundary condition I give for sides?...This was the problem that I faced in ansys fluent solver.. can anyone help me?
